Bye bye April, Hello May!

I could be talking about girlfriends, but alas, it's only the months that seem to come and go. Although, I did have an excellent time playing with Iris and Max at my house for the playgroup this week. Been doing a few things this week:
Watching parrots as they make a feeding mess...

Going to the botanical gardens and being awed by everything...

and contemplating the nature of the universe as evident in silicone bake ware...

Sometimes it helps to contemplate it in a different way...Still haven't convinced the parents that wearing pyjamas all day is a bad thing. You know, sometimes I want to look fancy. Maybe this is just a way for them to live vicariously, who knows?

Walking... sort of, kind of...

I know it is cheating to be holding on, but it is much easier this way.

Getting faster too... I can do laps around the unit.

Checked up

It took long enough, but finally had my 8month check-up with the MCH nurse. Things are going pretty well. The nurse was happy with my progress.
I am now sitting at a comfortable 10.38 kg (22lb 14 oz). I now have an admirable length of 77cm (30.3 in). It should be noted here that for both of these measurements I am in the 90th percentile for my age... that means that roughly 10% of babies are either taller or heavier than me. However... my head is 0nly 44.5 cm in circumference, which is in the 10th percentile - so 90% of babies my age have heads larger than mine. At this rate I will grow up to be a pinhead.

April's Fool

Think we all know who that is. At least I have been doing some regular stuff again. Not sure where March went. Some of the madness still remains...
The daylight saving time shift has made a difference to my schedule. Parents now get a whole extra 90mins with me every day! I continue to foil their plans to get me up at 7am and to bed at 7pm, which is by waking up at my old time of 6am, which is now 5am, and complaining about being awake and hungry until I get up. Occasionally I will sleep for an extra 30mins, but only if I'm feeling generous.

But life continues at a relentless pace. Feed, play, sleep... not all the same food though
Bread, is pretty tasty... But potato cakes are not...

And play time can be in many different places. Here I am in the garden helping out. Pretty sure this plant is edible. Just didn't come out of the ground when I pulled on it.
