Nee Naa Nee Naa... Emergency! Emergency!

From boring to way too exciting! That's what happened this week. It was a quiet peaceful regular kind of afternoon. Play time was fun, standing, crawling, tipping over Pip's water bowl. The usual kind of stuff. Then came bath time! Woo! Splishy splashy, watery fun. Until I tried to climb out of the bath. Dad tried to stop me, of course, but this time was different. So very very different. My arm didn't like being held in that way, so it complained to me and I complained to everyone in hearing range. A quick call to the 24 hour nurse and then a ride into town to see the nice people at the hospital. Well half of them were nice, the other half looked sore and tired.
I didn't have a very good time waiting for the doctor to see me. I managed to fall a sleep a few times but I kept waking up because my arm was sore. Got to see the Doc at around 11pm... they seemed to think that I had a dislocated elbow... which isn't very nice, but not as bad as having it put back in the right way. Left the hospital at 2am... quite a late night for everyone. My arm has been sore for a day and a bit now. I wasn't using it properly this morning, so we took another trip to see the nice doctors. They were much less busy this time, so we didn't have to wait for very long. They gave me some more medicine and I started to feel much better. Not ready to crawl up Mount Wellington yet.

So Busy

There has been so much new stuff happening... barely time to get my pants changed. I did find this quite comfy position to recline as Mum tried to interest me in the Frisbee. Shortly after the kitchen floor became much more enticing.New jacket... no need to use it just yet, but I am prepared for some rain!

Crawling was so last week...

Ever since the change in space and location, there have been some interesting developments. Note exhibit A (pictured below). There is (a) a barrier to prevent me from reaching my goal of hitting my noggin on the height-adjust lever for the chair, (b) a barrier to give me a helpful support since crawling became so boring and standing much much more exciting (c) a fancy outfit - I am looking all grown up (the big give away is lack of teeth)! Finally (d) a big grin :)

P.S. I got this way all by myself. Mum had put me somewhere out of harm's way, but I decided to reach the wall and climb (again).

Who would've thought?

Again I have had some awesome help from so many people. Some of whom I've never even met! Hard to know where to start, but I'll do my best!
To Claire and Jason - you are great! I have a bed AND a mattress. Would have been pretty cold sleeping on the floor, but thanks to you I have a comfy bed.
Joanne - you are amazing! I now have fancy clothes AND a high chair! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are so much more exciting that I can sit up with Mum or Dad and nom till I can nom no more.
It's been a pretty exhausting few days. Getting things organised in the new place, meeting new people and entertaining them, plus all the new things I have been trying to do. For example, in the previous place there wasn't enough space to show the parent my new skillz - i can crawl!! Forwards even. But that's not all... I am now trying to gain an height advantage over the cat, if only I could stand unaided, maybe next week, who knows?
That's all for now. Should be a busy few days with the furniture arriving soon.

Alpha 1 has landed

Well that was an event and a half! My very first ever plane ride! I had a great time. Getting lots of attention from all the nice people on the plane. Mum came with me leaving Dad to deal with the flat. It was a good thing we left too! See how much space I had to play in for the last week...
not very much! Not the smoothest of rides, but everything worked out in the end. Has barely been time to take any photos in the past few weeks. Here is one last shot of the 'old' flat.
